The event, which focuses on quality improvement and patient safety, includes two 30-minute presentations by professionals in the health care field. The presentations will be followed by a question-and-answer session. Speakers include Steve Mason, president and CEO of BayCare, a community-based health care system in the Tampa Bay area with more than 18500 employees; and Martha DeCastro, Vice President for Nursing with the Florida Hospital Association (FHA), a state association that represents more than 165 hospitals and healthcare systems, as well as 1750 professional members. About St.Petersburg College: In 1927, St. Petersburg College (then known as St. Petersburg Junior College) became Florida's first private, non-profit, two-year school of higher learning located in downtown St. Petersburg. Full accreditation followed in 1931 and in 1948 SPC became a public college.
