Sarkozy vs Hollande: No lesser evil?

French presidential rivals Nicolas Sarkozy and Francois Hollande get their last chance to sway votes in the only TV debate before Sunday's run-off. The incumbent president will have to throw everything into the duel with socialist challenger Hollande who's currently leading the polls. They're fighting for the votes of right-wing leader Marine Le Pen who herself has refused to endorse Sarkozy and suggested her supporters make their own choice. Russia Today Thursday, March 22, 2012 www.rt.com French President Nicolas Sarkozy has spoken out strongly against extremism, but urged his countrymen not to stigmatize Muslims, after a 32-hour siege that resulted in the death of a radical Islamist gunman who confessed to killing seven people. Sarkozy has proposed a raft of new anti-terrorist measures. Speaking in a press conference straight after the end of the siege in Toulouse, the French president said anyone regularly visiting websites "justifying terrorism" or "preaching hatred and violence" would be prosecuted.
