Super Hit Action movie The Boss of the Underworld (2010) Malli (Jagapathi Babu) is the son of a criminal. He wishes to become police officer but his family background keeps him away from entering police department. A sincere police cop Vishwanath (Pradeep Rawat) makes him an under cover cop. And thus Malli joins the gang of a big gangster Daddy (Manish Manjrekar) and becomes a covert. On the other hand Chandu (JD Chekravarthy) is a helper to Daddy's gang who joins police department and works for Daddy. Mahi (Mamatha Mohandas) is a doctor who falls in love with Malli. The other girl (Madhurima) becomes the love interest to Chandu. The turmoil starts between Chandu and Malli in second half and finally who wins on who becomes the climax.

The movie can be narrated as the story of a father and his sons who land up in a village and eventually help a family suffering at the hands of the local goon. The sequence of events, with shrewd screenplay and good narration, make the movie engrossing. Govindan (Manivannan) is a thief who groups two orphaned kids. Years go by and the two, Adhi (Pasupathy) and Madhi (Vikram) decide to stop stealing and mend their ways and lead a hardworking life along with their father. They migrate to a neighboring village. They are forced to help a family who suffers at the hands of an influential local panchayat leader Kalingarayar (Murali). The story moves on as they (Adhi and Madhi) take on the feudal head. Madhi also ends up marrying Murali's daughter (Asin). There are the expected twists and turns and predictable misunderstandings between them before the climax. The trouble creator here is Manicka Vel (Biju Menon). The maternal uncle of Seetha, he plays spoil sport to stop her wedding with Madhi.

Synopsis : Aravind (Akkineni Nagarjuna), Chandru (Sumanth) and Krishna Murthy (Sudhakar) arechildhood friends and are inseparable. Great vinyl recording of Debussy's Clair de Lune performed by the London Symphony Orchestra; arranged and conducted by Stanley Black. It is an arrangement because Mr. Black adds a few countermelodies not found in the original piano score and takes a few liberties with the expression, but overall the final result is awesome and effective. Although there are many orchestrations of this piece (among them a well-known one by Stokowski) I particularly love this arrangement because the orchestra sounds large, but the interpretation is always slow and delicate (or let's say, never too loud, always within the boundaries and the mood that the title of the piece suggests). Also listen to the emphasis on the basses, and the subtle building of emotion achieved with appropriate phrasing! Other highlights are the way the main theme comes back (at 3:45); the violins playing so incredibly soft... and then the reaching of a climax at the end of the phrase with a particularly passionate and daring emphasis on the basses (4:21).

Ajith is a straight forward young man who leads a happy life with his parents and younger sister. He happens to meet the heroine Sada and both fall for one another. Ajith's sister is pregnant and at the time of delivery, he takes her to a hospital. The doc there expects bribe but when it is not forthcoming, neglects his duty because of which Ajith's sister dies. Ajith comes to know that this is not the first instance in the hospital and the doctor is none other than Riyaz Khan's brother. When he goes out to get him, Riyaz Khan and his father do all that they can to protect this guy from Ajith. That is where the action part of the movie takes off. How Ajith gets his revenge on the people responsible for his sisters death is the movies climax.

What better way to end the Confessions Tour than with the smash #1 hit of the past year. Madonna had announced this tour saying "I want people to feel like they're inside a disco ball". That's exactly how the crowd feels when the giant disco ball starts turning, shining its lights on the whole venue. Stuart gives them a big teaser, by mixing Hung Up with Lucky Star. Madonna sings the Hung Up chorus, but then disappears from the stage. Tension is build up with a long powerful instrumental intro, still a bit intertwined with Lucky Star. Then Madonna and her dancers appear on a rack in the back (as in the EMA performance). Madonna wears a sexy leotard, a purple jacket and sun glasses. The dancers give their all in a stream of choreographies, before they and Madonna get physical during the breakdown . Slowly they all crawl onto the catwalk. Madonna walks towards the end where she 'rides' a big boombox. At the climax, golden balloons fall from the ceiling, causing a fight among fans to get hold of them. But soon Madonna re-unites them with a big singalong contest. Everybody goes mad on the line "Time goes by... so slowly!" as Madge urges to sing louder. All the dancers, also including Donna and Niki, and even Isaac return to the stage for a grand finale with disco roll. A big bang calls the end of the performance and of the tour. As the ticking of the clock slows down, Madonna - as usual - has the last word: "I'm tired of waiting on you..."
