Por fin en julio del 2011 la ciudad de Lima ya tendrá METRO

En el mes de julio del 2011 se inagurará la línea 1 del Metro de Lima Fuente: Diario El Comercio de Perú Cómo funcionará el tren eléctrico: horario, frecuencia y modo de pago. El nuevo sistema de transporte iniciará sus operaciones con cinco trenes. Después de un año, serán 16. Luego de más de 20 años de haber iniciado su construcción, el tren eléctrico de Lima comenzará a operar desde el próximo 11 de julio, en el primer tramo de la línea 1, que irá desde la estación central de Villa El Salvador hasta la de la avenida Grau, en el Cercado de Lima. Sin embargo, la mayoría de personas aún desconoce cómo funcionará este nuevo sistema de transporte. Por ello elcomercio.pe se contactó con Oswaldo Plasencia, director de la Autoridad Autónoma del Tren Eléctrico, quien ayudó a elaborar una guía completa para ustedes. ¿CUÁNTOS TRENES HAY? Durante el primer año de funcionamiento, el sistema contará con cinco trenes, que fueron adquiridos hace 20 años, pero que nunca se utilizaron y que están siendo modernizados. Después, el consorcio Tren Lima Línea 1, formado por Graña y Montero y la argentina Ferrovías, pondrá en funcionamiento de manera paulatina 11 trenes más. CANTIDAD DE COCHES Y CAPACIDAD Cada tren tiene seis coches y puede transportar a mil 200 personas (paradas y sentadas).
