Moderato, first movement from Piano Concerto No. 2, Op. 18 Chicago Symphony Orchestra Fritz Reiner, conductor Arthur Rubinstein, piano The Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, Op. 18, is a concerto for piano and orchestra, composed by Sergei Rachmaninoff between the autumn of 1900 and April 1901. The second and third movements were first performed with the composer as soloist on 2 December 1900. The complete work was premiered, again with the composer as soloist, on 27 October 1901, with his cousin Alexander Siloti conducting. This piece is one of Rachmaninoff's most enduring popular pieces, and established his fame as a concerto composer. he opening movement begins with a series of bell-like tolling on the piano that build tension, eventually climaxing in the introduction of the main theme. In this first section, the orchestra carries the Russian-character melody while the piano makes an accompaniment made of arpeggios riddled with half steps. After the statement of the long first theme, a quicker transition follows until the more lyrical second theme, in E flat major, is presented. The agitated and unstable development borrows motives from both themes changing keys very often and giving the melody to different instruments while a new musical idea is slowly formed. The music builds in a huge climax as if the work was going to repeat the first bars of the work, but the recapitulation is going to be quite different. Manikyam (Rajnikanth) is a humble auto-rickshaw driver whose life revolves around his family. His dreams and aspirations are only to see his brother and two sisters to be happy and settled in life. He falls in love with Priya (Nagma), a wealthy girl who finds Manikyam to be the most admirable man she's ever met. His sister tops her medical exams but can't afford to pay the fees to be admitted in the private college and the Director says that he'll admit her if she agrees to sleep with him. So, Manikyam goes to meet the director in closed doors and when they're out, the director is shook up and readily gives her a free admission. Similar instances compel his cop brother, Shiva, to question his big brother's past. The flashback reveals Manikyam's true identity as Manikyam was a mafia don called Basha, in the city of Bombay. Basha was respected by the public and feared by all wrong-doers. His archenemy, Antony (Raghuvaran) murders his best friend and his father (Vijaykumar), to whom Basha promises to give up the mafia life. He fakes his death to protect his family and assumes the identity of Manikyam, the auto driver. Now, Manikyam finds himself haunted by his past as Antony learns that Basha's still alive and he plans to take his revenge on him. The climax of the movie shows how Manikyam defeats Antony and saves his family from harm.

Synopsis-Dynamic Josh is the hindi translation of a Tamil Movie 'Sudhandiram'. Sudhandiram is the remake of Aamir Khan starrer Ghulam. Vishwa is a goon and an aspiring boxing champion. He does all the typical criminal jobs for Sopraj, the main local goon. Sopraj is aiming to build a colony in the area after vacating the people already living there. Vishwa's brother Raghu, is an accountant on Sopraj's payroll. Love blossoms between Vishwa and Divya, the girlfriend of the head of a local gang. When a social worker Vikram intrudes in the affairs of Sopraj, he asks Vishwa to bring Vikram to him. Vishwa does so thinking that Sopraj is just going to talk to him abot the matter but Sopraj brutally kills him instead. This makes Vishwa turn over a new leaf. Though his love for his brother prevents him initially, he finally decides to go against Sopraj.
