Belt Driven, Series A, look in google if you dont trust me... ;) Someones say that toyotas 4AGE is "copy" of BDA. You can look that too in internet. Intresting, both 1600cc and first belt driven engines from toyota and ford. Same style porting in heads etc. :)

Was sold along with an equally mint Lotus Cortina, a 100k less though, a bargain. This particular car has an unbeatable winning-streak. Both cars was sold in under a week...

The Mk2 RS1800 had a 1834cc BDG. There were various other variations like BDR, BDX which were usually sold in kit form to racers and kit car makers..

BDA was 1600 cc, ...

BDA was 1600 cc, built on the old Kent block (push rod engine). BDG was 2000cc, built on an aluminium block. You also had different stages between the two engined (BDB,C,D et.c.). And also T (1800 cc turbo).
