I can only echo the sentiment of so many others whose posts here lament the passing of time and the seasoning of mind, body and spirit the memory of this melody invokes. I sometimes feel if I'd been just a little more self aware and my heart had been just a little larger and more accepting of change, my ego would never have closed my eyes to all the beauty and wonder of my youth and the possibilities I let slip away.... "change your heart and look around you"

Some posters say this song is very much like The Beatles -- it should be: The Korgis key players -- Andy Davis & James Warren -- founding members of Stackridge (had an LP produced by the Beatles' own producer George Martin -- "Extravaganza"). This band came close to be great in a manner like The Beatles. Their humor, melodies, lyrics & production all bordered on Beatle quality. The Korgis were a little more commercial but excellent anyway. Their "If I Had You" continues with this fine sound.
